Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police to DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award for the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. The present role of O'Dell as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
